The Club which serves members from Publow, Pensford, Stanton Wick and Stanton Drew has recently taken on two new coaches and is looking to extend its engagement with the villages, particularly for juniors and beginners.

Sue Grimes, Chair of Pensford Tennis Club said;

“This generous donation from the Trust has completed our fundraising and allowed us to complete the resurfacing ahead of schedule. This Club is very much a community facility and we are so grateful that the Community Trust have recognized this and helped us maintain our two floodlit courts in top condition. We want to involve everyone who wants to play tennis and want to persuade everyone who may have not played, but have thought about it. I like to think we are a very open and fun group of enthusiasts and we certainly welcome everyone who would like to play tennis or may give it a try.”

Andrew Hillman, Chair of the PPSCT Trustees said;

“It is great that the Trust can make a difference and support a group of people who have worked tirelessly to further the Tennis Club and to raise a significant amount of money to keep the tennis courts in top condition. The trustees were impressed by the Club’s commitment to providing community facilities and encouraging engagement. We were particularly impressed by the Club’s initiatives to link with both Pensford and Stanton Drew primary schools, making tennis coaching, part of the school sport provision.”
