The Pensford Publow and the Stantons Community Trust charity, known locally as The Community Trust, has finally held its 7th Annual General Meeting. Originally planned for April 2020 and following multiple deferments, it became increasingly obvious that group meetings limited to 6 were here to stay under COVID restrictions, despite some optimism that maybe there could be some relaxation that would enable a normal meeting during early October.

Andrew Hillman , Chairman, said “ we had to grab the bull by the horns as we were legally obliged to hold an AGM within a defined time period and that had expired, so the Trustees and community had had a fair bit of “ZOOM” experience and resorted to an online AGM.”

Andrew went on to say, “ AGMs are not always the most exciting of meetings, however it does provide a platform to summarise some of the good work undertaken within our village communities for which the Community Trust has been able to provide financial support during 2019 and into 2020 – everyone has been very busy despite restrictions.”
